Cash for Votes

It is time the EC came up with a good way to stop the cash for votes. It is so unbelievably rampant that it is a joke to see Jaswant Singh (BJP) or Abu Azmi (SP) giving money to people for votes. In Hyderabad and AP, people get a nice package - Rs. 500/- and a bottle of liquor and/or a sari. I wonder why the rival parties don't go around taking videos of what their competition is doing. That may be a worthwhile use of their time.
Of course, with the Congress having made an incredible amount of money in the last 5 years, they are certain to be at the forefront in AP in terms of giving freebies and promises before the elections.
